As we emerge from the pandemic we will find that the world has changed dramatically. This crisis accelerated the move to a digital society and economy with the haves being digitally connected and the have nots unable to function in the digital economy. Crisis accelerate changes in progress for good or ill. Review of online learning show that poor and minority children were failing online classes at a much higher rate than their more affluent and non minority peers. Moving forward from the pandemic these children will be ill prepared for the new economy and society that is emerging from it.
The United States stock markets reflect the shift to this new digital society and economy.
To succeed in this new digital society and economy you need to embrace technology. Whole industries have shifted to this economy and it is transforming the world. Work at home digitally now means that white collar workers are no longer tied to large expensive office buildings in urban cores and can live virtually anywhere there is a high speed internet connection.
This restructuring of society and the economy is creating a new group of haves and have nots.
In terms of my wife, I and our social network, we have embraced the digital economy and society and prospered during the Pandemic. Our friends have also embraced the digital economy and have become adept at leveraging it to maximize profit and output from their activities.
We use Zoom, email, text messaging and social media to accomplish and coordinate tasks and increase the value of our holdings.
By leveraging the digital aspects of the economy during this pandemic I was able to convert property holdings to cash at a significant profit and raise about two thirds of a million dollars to finance our relocation to Florida.
